A parent prank classic. Pour a bowl of your kid's favorite cereal the night before and leave in the freezer overnight. When you take it out be sure to top off with fresh milk to hide the ice and call your unsupecting hungry munchkin for breakfast!
2. Bug in their food
Depending on how aversive to bugs your kids are, this may turn out more traumatizing than intended, so use wisely. Place a fake bug inside your kid's breakfast and wait for the screams.
3. Color-themed BK
Is there a color your kid really loves? Serve them a monochromatic breakfast!
Menu items that you can add a little food dye to: a glass of milk, scrambled eggs, pancakes, banana bread (or any homemade bread!), yogurt, bowl of cereal with colored milk, and rice pudding.
4. Juicy surprise
Before bed the night before, make a batch of jello and pour some in your kids' juice cups. Serve it at breakfast and see how they try drinking it!
5. Fake wake-up call
Since April Fool's falls on a Saturday this year, an easy prank to pull is to wake your kids up early and get them ready for school, acting as if it were a normal school day. If they don't pick up on it by the time they're ready to go, get everyone in the car, drive past school and to the kiddos' favorite breakfast place for a happy surprise!
